relief therapies to customers in Aberdeen, Inverurie and the surrounding areas.

What is osteopathy?

Osteopathy is an established and recognised system of diagnosis and treatment for musculoskeletal problems in people. It involves the examination of the structure and function of the body and how its various parts, such as the bones, joints, ligaments, discs, muscles, tendons and nerves, work together. It addresses the pain, aches and strains caused by a breakdown of the body’s normal working patterns to help alleviate the symptoms. The osteopath will then treat you with manipulation of bones, joints and soft-tissues to remove restrictions which may be preventing normal mobility, blood flow, nerve supply and muscle activity.

If you are suffering from aches and pains in any part of your body, visit our clinic or call us at The Colin Ross Practice. We will be happy to assist you in any way we can.
Osteopathy

Visiting our clinic

An osteopath will treat you the way any registered medical practitioner would. They will want to know how the symptoms began and the factors that affect them. A full case history will be taken and you will be given a postural examination. You may also be asked to perform a simple series of movements. This is followed by a structural examination to identify any functional abnormalities. Further examinations may be conducted to aid diagnosis. The findings will then be explained along with the appropriate course of action and treatment.
